Silent Hill has a great introduction (and the movie is great too). The title appear after a short cut. It gives the audience a slight view of the movie story.

What is standing out in this short introduction is the dark - stone texture and flying ash. It reveal to audience of a old creepy town which has something to do with fire (well and crime).

The movie is a redemiation of Silent Hill game (I think it is Silent Hill 2). In the movie there are many reference to the videogame. For example, the map that the main character pick - the knife that she drop, the waiting screen which refer to loading screen in the game and the ending movie. This movie has success in transfer the theme of Silent Hill video game in to cinema screen. In my POV, Silent Hill is one of the best movie that remediate from computer game just like Final Fantasy VII: advent children

I think "Sin city" is a very cool movie. The narrative of it is interesting and quite unique compare to other Hollywood movie (I feel like watching an animated comic when I watch it the first time). However, the use of color of this movie is the element that makes the deepest impression on me.

The movie is almost black & white. The color character/object play an important role in the narrative. In this images, the color reveal to character a sicko-psycho villain.

The introduction of this movie make an reference to its original story. it tell the audience that this movie is a remediation of the comic series "Sin city". I think the color role in the introduction is to tell audience that this movie is a freaking violence one.

There are very many cool poster on the bulletin. This is the best poster that I have ever seen (I think).

It is one among of many posters with the theme "the dangerous of riding motorbike without helmet".

The model of this poster think he would have a stupid look if he wear a helmet. However, after a certain traffic accident he doesn't have very intelligent look. He need his mother/grand mother to feed him since his brain seem to be badly damaged.

The color and the text is beautiful. Those two along with the picture make a beautiful layout. This poster is certainly the best one I have seen. (although I highly doubt about the model in this poster is the real patient since the photo is too good and there is noway his family would let the photographer take his picture when she is feeding him)

It is quite of unique design for Vietnamese banner.

It is a banner of game online that locate near the campus. I have never notice it, until I have problem with my bike and stop by the fork near campus (about week 3-5) . Comepare to usual banner of this type which are some images of (a game online) and some boring text, this banner really unusual.

The one who make this banner has a good play with text, color and layout. He/she put the word "game online" and "hs" in the line of number 24 in a nice way. Its message certainly is "24 hours game online". Arrows next the the text would tell viewer the location of the shop's location, those arrows and the font make me feel kind of modern tech, I think it is good reference for the service of this shop (let people rent computer to play game).

There is a lot of white space in this design. It is very unusual for this type of banner in Vietnam (all the other of this kind look very scram). The color is worn out (as expect to be exposed to Vietnamese weather), but it still look very nice. Red/pink + green + white this is great use of color and quite rare to see in Vietnamese banner design.

This is the part of Rmit "Design club" poster from the middle of semester. This poster has an interesting concept, which is the eye.

There are a bunch of shape that seem to come from/to the eye of the model. It is very relevant to design club whose task mainly is deal with graphic and interface.

The green eye make a good contrast and draw the viewer attention.

In my opinion, this poster is one among the best poster that I have seem on the campus bulletin.

In my opinion, Graffiti is an art.


Graffiti artist use high contrast color which make strong impact on audience. It is quite similar to psychedelic art since both of them illustrate the mind of their artist.


I think Graffiti has become an international style. Graffiti artists in different country have different style and many of their work are influenced by their own traditional culture.


Currently, there is not much graffiti artist in Vietnam. There is no Vietnamese theme in the Vietnamese graffiti. However, I think it is not hard to make Vietnamese theme in graffiti since Vietnamese have many identical art like "Dong Ho" painting and "Trong Dong" pattern. If Vietnamese graffiti added these element into their work, they would create a graffiti that has Vietnamese theme.
